Starting your own seeds is a lot of fun. Watching the little seedlings pop out of the soil is amazing. I order from various seed companies and there are a lot of seed companies on the internet. These are the ones I recommend you check out:

Baker Rare Seeds: I love the varieties this company sells. All their seeds are heirlooms and from various parts of the world. The shipping is reasonable and if your order goes over a certain amount they offer free seed packages.

Stokes Seeds: This is my main seed company. They have all the varieties I want and in the quantity I need. Their shipping is also very reasonable.

Other seed companies are Vesey's and West Coast Seeds. I have ordered from Vesey's occasionally, but they don't have as much variety and the shipping is quite expensive. I have never ordered from West Coast Seeds, but you can find their seed packets in a lot of stores.

Manitoba based companies are Lindenberg Seeds and T & T Seeds.

I use to order from Johnny's Seeds but I find their shipping and the duty I pay is just too much. There are other companies that have just as good seeds and more reasonable shipping.

The one company I would avoid is Reimer's Seeds. I ordered there once and I have regretted it. Over half of their seeds didn't germinate for me. It was a complete waste of money.

What is your favorite seed company?
